Elena Bertozzi, Lecturer in Film, Video, & Media
Elena Bertozzi Ph.D. and her team, work with scientists and healthcare professionals on a variety of games that incentivize players to seek and achieve positive behavioral change. Motivated by her experiences in using games to address intractable problems in both national and international settings, she studies ways in which interactive technologies can guide players towards better decision making based on accurate knowledge. She specializes in leveraging current technologies to produce low-cost 2D games that can be delivered over easily accessible devices for audiences with a range of literacies and access to technology. In addition to designing, developing, and deploying games for health, Dr. Bertozzi has written extensively on gender, sexuality, and technological self-efficacy.
