Lisa Kereszi, Critic, Director of Undergraduate Studies

Ms. Kereszi graduated from Bard College with a B.A. in photography and a minor in literature/creative writing in 1995. In 2000 she received an M.F.A. in photography from the Yale School of Art. She recently was a MacDowell Fellow and a Gardner Fellowship Finalist. Her work is in many private and public collections including the Whitney Museum of American Art, New Museum of Contemporary Art, Brooklyn Museum of Art, Study Collection of the Museum of Modern Art, Berkeley Art Museum, and the Yale University Art Gallery. She is represented by Yancey Richardson Gallery in New York, where she had solo shows in 2005, 2006, 2009 and 2012. Other recent solo shows include exhibitions at Drew University in Madison, NJ and at Robert Morat Galerie in Berlin in 2013. She was commissioned in 2003 to photograph Governors Island by the Public Art Fund, which culminated in shows at the Urban Center Gallery and the Mayor’s Office at City Hall and a book. She has 3 other books in print, 2008’s Fantasies, 2009’s Fun and Games and 2012’s Joe’s Junk Yard, with an upcoming artist’s book due out in Fall 2014. She has been a visiting artist/critic at many schools and universities. Ms. Kereszi was appointed Lecturer in photography at Yale in 2004 and Critic and Director of Undergraduate Studies in art in 2013.Editor details
