Neil Goldberg, Critic in Graphic Design

Neil Goldberg is a New York based artist who makes video, photo, and performance work about embodiment, sensing, mortality, and the everyday. His work has been presented at The Museum of Modern Art, The New Museum of Contemporary Art, The Museum of the City of New York, The Hammer Museum, and other institutions internationally. In 2021 he completed the video work Hallelujah Anyway Anyway for New York Times Op-Docs. Neil has received fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, the New York State Council on the Arts, the Lower Manhattan Cultural Center, Yaddo, MacDowell, and the Siena Art Institute, among others. Neil was resident faculty at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in 2015 and served as a mentor with the organization Queer|Art from 2017 to 2019. He received a BA in History and Computer Science from Brown University in 1986 and has been a critic at the Yale School of Art since 2013.Editor details
